Thanksgiving is coming right up! It’s the perfect time to spend time with family in North Texas, and Allen is the perfect centrally located home base for all the things you want to do from Dallas to McKinney and everywhere in between!
Wednesday: Day One!
Morning: Drop your bags at the Hampton Inn & Suites Dallas-Allen and embark on a day taking in some natural beauty! Take the nine minute drive to Heard Natural Science Museum where you can enjoy the Native Plant Garden and check out The Dinosaur Company’s dinosaurs in the wild at their Dinosaur Live! exhibit.
Afternoon: Since you’ll have worked up an appetite, it’s time for lunch! Pick up a delicious sandwiches and salads at Elke’s Market Cafe and head to Connemara Conservancy for a picnic and an afternoon walk.
Evening: Head over to Armor Brewing Co. for a relaxing evening and a flight of brewing made in house or a seasonal cocktail! The patio is a great spot for families to spend time together, and their kids menu has options any little one will be excited for.
Thursday: Day Two!
Morning: Enjoy the breakfast included with your stay at the hotel and take time to swim as a family in the indoor pool.
Afternoon: Time at the playground to burn some energy is next! Rolling Hills Park is an awesome place for kids to run, climb and slide. By now everyone will be ready for a Thanksgiving feast! If you’re looking for an upscale Andreas Prime Steaks & Seafood is a festive option for the whole family! Looking for something more laid back? TwoRows Classic Grill is the place to be!
Evening: After possibly heading back to the hotel for a post-turkey nap, PINSTACK is the place to be for high-octane fun to end the day. Between the arcade, bumper cars, bowling and more you’ll be sure to make some great memories.
Friday: Day 3!
Morning: The highlight of the trip for the kiddos in your family is going to be Disney on Ice! Hosted by Mickey and Minnie, see the stars of Disney’s Frozen and Encanto live in a dazzling new show when they skate into Credit Union of Texas Event Center. The show starts at 11:30AM!
Afternoon: Grab some tacos at Matt’s Ranchero Martinez, then head to the Crayola Experience in Plano for their Colorful Christmas event and get ready to deck the halls with tons of color!
Evening: Save the holiday shopping for after the crowds go home! There will still be plenty of great deals later in the day at Watters Creek Village, The Village at Allen and Allen Premium Outlets.
