As spring gets in full swing, Allen continues to build upon January’s successful opening of the new Watters Creek Convention Center and Delta Hotels by Marriott Dallas Allen.
A sincere thank you to all the destination partners (hotels, restaurants, attractions) who helped accommodate the first 2019 city-wide conference in February. The influx of more than 2,500 high school students and educators to our City was no small feat to handle, and all of you helped make their experience in Allen a positive one.
Our team at the Allen Convention & Visitors Bureau looks forward to celebrating National Travel and Tourism Week, May 5-11, recognizing why “Travel Matters” along with the U.S. Travel Association. We'll also be launching a new campaign dubbed #TeamAllenTX, so stay tuned for more information about that initiative and how you can get involved in our next newsletter.
Lastly, the Allen CVB team is also working on the next big city-wide conference, the 2019 Evangelism Seminar. More than 2,500 attendees are expected, engaging at least four Allen hotels. See the list of additional upcoming meetings and events in the newsletter.
This year promises to be one of the biggest ever for Allen, and we look forward to working with you and other Destination Partners continue being a cheerleader for tourism in our city!
