We’ve Got Some Juicy News to Share

Posted on October 12, 2016 at 10:04 AM by Cambria Jones

When the husband and wife team, John and Brittney Zuffinetti, noticed a need for something fun, delicious and healthy, they had the perfect solution, a juice bar! With the idea in place, they didn’t have to look far for the perfect location. “We live in Allen and we love what Allen is doing and how it’s growing,” said John.  “We knew we wanted to be close to home and be able to connect with the community.”

Juice Bar Allen Owners

When we met up with the Zuffinettis we really didn’t have to do much squeezing to find out why they were the perfect duo to open our first juice bar in Allen. From the moment they arrived, we could feel their excitement and passion around the “I love Juice Bar” concept. They both proudly wore t-shirts displaying the company’s logo and John’s even had the ingredients of one of his favorite recipes on the back. Just think of a blend of beet, lemon, ginger and jalapeño with the name “Love Hornet” and we bet you’re as intrigued as we were.

While the name, I love Juice Bar, gives you a pretty good idea of what you may expect to see on the menu, we’re here to tell you that it’s so much more than juice. Yes, a good portion of the menu is made up of refreshing and innovative juice combinations like the Bunny Love, What’s Up Doc and Orange You Glad (as you may have guessed, these all have carrots in common). However, they will also be serving up delicious smoothies like Brittney’s favorite, the PB&J. “It’s like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in a cup,” as she described it.

Juice trio 1Plus, they have a pretty impressive food menu too! They will offer a local fresh menu of vegetarian and vegan options with Vietnamese flair, with recipes developed by chefs and I Love Juice Bar founders, Vui and John Hunt. Brittney and John agreed on one of their favorite menu items, the Nori Wraps. John described them as “vegetarian sushi rolls made with quinoa, red bell peppers, avocado, cucumbers, and sprouts wrapped in seaweed served with ginger-sesame dressing for dipping”.  As he described this and other items on the menu, it was evident that he had some experience in the restaurant business. “I’ve been in the restaurant industry since I was 14 and I managed big restaurants for the past 10 years of my life,” he later shared.  With his experience, he wants the juice bar to have a hospitality-driven restaurant feel, where each customer is being catered to.  Even if you’ve never juiced before, the owners assure that this will be an affordable and approachable introduction to the juicing lifestyle.

We’re looking forward to the opening of “I love Juice Bar” at 950 W. Stacy Road #140 later this fall. So, while you join us in the countdown, check out their website and try to decide what will be your first juicy delight!
