Smell that? Yep, pumpkin spice season is in full swing. We know this fall flavor has a serious following. So, we went around town to find some of the tastiest treats sure to add some (pumpkin) spice to your life! And for those of you who aren’t pumpkin spice fanatics, we found other fantastically-fall flavored treats for you too. Read on and try to resist the urge to scratch and sniff the screen!
Pumpkin Pie Latte_ Caffe Prommenade

1. Caffe Promenade
We thought we’d start with somewhat of a classic, the seasonal latte. While you may have had your fair share of pumpkin spice lattes, have you ever had a pumpkin PIE latte?  Think of all the things you love about a pumpkin pie in a creamy, smooth, warm fall beverage topped with homemade whipped cream and a caramel drizzle. You can find this cup of deliciousness at Caffee Promenade as well as other fall treats, like the pumpkin cake donut they serve on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the season.

2. Elke’s Market Café
Next up we have a tongue twister sure to satisfy your taste buds. It’s Elke’s praline pecan pumpkin pie (why don’t ya try saying that three times fast). This pie has quite the reputation amongst locals. It starts with a flaky pie crust, filled with a creamy pumpkin mixture and finished with a heaping pile of pecan praline topping. If that’s not enough pumpkin pleasure for you, Elke is also serving up pumpkin dip (which goes great with ginger snap cookies), pumpkin caramel cake, pumpkin bread and a spicy pumpkin soup (just in time for the cooler weather).

Pumpkin Spice Gelato_Black Walnut Cafe

3. Black Walnut Café- Allen
Since our weather here is really pleasant most of the time, there’s really no such thing as a bad time to enjoy a cool treat. Black Walnut Café has something icy and sweet with the right amount of spice for the fall season. Pronounce it how you want, just don’t call it ice cream. It’s pumpkin spice gelato. This cold, creamy concoction is so good it’s been named the “gelato of the month.” You’ll want to be sure to stop by to give it a try this October. To keep the pumpkin party going, Black Walnut Café is also whipping up pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin pie, pumpkin muffins and pumpkin spice lattes.

Pumkin Spice Chocolates_Sublime

4. Sublime Chocolate Bar
Chocolate lovers, this is for you. Sublime Chocolate Bar is preparing the perfect pairing of chocolate and fall flavors. This colorful fall treat is a pumpkin spice candy made with cinnamon, ginger, cloves and nutmeg mixed into a dark chocolate ganache and finished with an edible design of warm fall colored leaves. Also on the menu, are the pecan pie chocolates. These bite sized beauties are milk chocolate candies filled with a ganache of homemade pecan pie filling.

Pumpkin Pecan Cookies_Grifs Sammie Shop

5. Grif’s Sammie Shop
One of our newest additions to town is already making quite the name for themselves. Grif’s Sammie Shop is bringing together soft baked cookies and a bell of an ice cream assortment (that we all know) for a match made in paradise. This fall they’re featuring fresh baked pumpkin pecan cookies. These soft baked cookies have a texture similar to a fresh baked loaf of pumpkin bread with specs of cinnamon and spice and chunks of white chocolate chips. The cookies alone are delicious, but you can double your delight by sandwiching buttered pecan or pecan pralines 'n cream ice cream in between.

Monster Munch Popcorn_Sassy

6. Sassy Popcorn
Popcorn is already a pretty fun snack, but now it’s getting down right sassy! Sassy Popcorn is mixing up big batches of spook-tacularly fun flavors. Just in time for Halloween, they’re scooping up bags and buckets of “monster munch.” This sweet-salty-crunchy combination is made of vanilla popcorn and pretzels covered in white chocolate then mixed with orange and black candied covered chocolates and sprinkles. This would be an awesome addition to any trick or treater’s bag this year. Stop by the store and check out the other fun fall flavors like the candy corn popcorn or a caramel and green apple mix!

Pumpkin Walnut Spice Cake_Bonnie Ruths

7. Bonnie Ruth's Bistro Francaise Et Patisserie
Don’t worry; you don’t have to speak French to find your way around the fabulous bakery of fresh baked goods at Bonnie Ruth’s Bistro. This season you can get a giant slice of this pumpkin walnut spice cake layered and topped with cream cheese frosting. Consider this your fork-warning, serving up slices big enough to share is a standard at Bonnie Ruth’s so be sure to bring a friend or make sure you leave plenty of room for dessert after your meal.
