Things Are Getting Lively Around Here

Posted on March 24, 2017 at 9:35 AM by Cambria Jones

The sensation of snapping your fingers and tapping your toes is not far from your reach when you visit us. You may already know about the great food and drinks you’ll find here, but yet again, all the best is getting even better. When it comes to entertainment, our live music scene is getting quite…well, lively! Depending on the night, you’ll be able to hear anything from classic rock to today’s hits and even a bit of jazz (if that’s more your style).

Two of our areas, known for their great shopping and dining are taking the experience up a notch by bringing on the bands.

Watters Creek at Montgomery Farm

Firewater Kitchen and Bar- In addition to serving up food for your soul and drinks for your spirit, Firewater Kitchen and Bar is bringing in local live bands every Wednesday night. Talk about adding some oomf to your hump day!

Bonnie Ruth’s Bistro- Just a short walk down the road, still within Watters Creek, you can be serenaded by the smooth sounds of jazz. Over at Bonnie Ruth’s, they’re really stringing the right chords with the Jazz After Dark series every Friday evening.

The Village at Allen

Allen Event Center- Of course Allen Event Center has been known to bring some big names to the big stage, like Meghan Trainor, Goo Goo Dolls and Counting Crows to name a few. So, if you’re in the mood for a big show without heading to the big city, be sure to check our calendar for events here. Panic at the Disco! and 1975 will be hitting the stage next.

Bar Louie- If you’re looking for local listening, you’re in luck. Bounce on over to Bar Louie.  Every Thursday, they’re bringing in bands from our own backyards (per se) and making you feel like you’re right at home in your neighborhood bar.

To stay in the know about our live music and entertainment scene, be sure to check out our event calendar.
